New products and designers in TTT

August 27, 2013
Check out the products from Goma, TRASH4FLASH, and Katrina Kaubi in the TTT webshop.

Every product in Trash To Trend's (TTT) webshop has its own story. Let me introduce you the new products and designers in the TTT webshop now.

One of our newcomers is GOMA with its bags that are designed from old airbags. Yes you read it correctly — all bags are made of airbags used in the car crash tests in Germany (a country with a huge car industry). Ainhoa Salgueiro, the designer behind Goma started making bags at first in Vietnam from inner tubes. Now she lives in Berlin, and she uses old airbags — which are made of strong, light and water-resistant material — for her bags.

Another newcomer in the TTT webshop is TRASH4FLASH with jewellery that are made of old plastic. Every adornment is unique. The designer, Katerina Stamatopoulou designs her jewellery in Athens, Greece. She characterises her bracelets and necklaces as vintage jewellery dating back to the 1980s.

Last newcomer is Katrina Kaubi, young Estonian designer whose fashion collection grew from her fashion master's project. Katrina Kaubi collection`s raw material are men's shirts and trousers from Beximco which is one of the biggest fabric and garment producing companies in Bangladesh. Among Beximco`s clients there are well-known fashion brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Zara, Bershka, etc. Unfortunately, as common in the industry sector, there can be large amounts of overproduction becoming waste with no good solutions available.
