Turning Trash to Treasure, Upcycling Project Inspiration

November 01, 2014
Rich Palmer, the owner of Dustbox Cleaning Services, based in the UK has put together an infographic called "Turning Trash to Treasure, Upcycling Project Inspiration."
Rich Palmer said "Being in the cleaning industry I see so much waste, but also so many items that can be recycled and turned into something new."
Did you know for example that 75% of solid waste is recyclable? But only 30% is actually recycled? Rich Palmer put together some quick facts on the recycling industry, some upcycling project inspirations from around the world and 3 DIY tutorials on items you can reuse and create something new with at home.

taking trash and making it chic is so in right now. as an eco-conscious consumer I like to buy repurposed items whenever possible. Check out http://blumarble.com for really cool pendant lights, tumblers, and rocks glasses upcycled from 1Liter bottles and 1/5ths of Jameson, Grey Goose, Sky, and others from the Las Vegas Strip.
